Today we are excited to kick off the celebration of our 16th Anniversary! What a ride it's been! I remember the day I started Atlantic Webworks, back when the concept of companies having a Web site was a nice 'extra,' but far from a requirement for business. The role of the Internet had not been crystallized in the minds of business leaders, nor had the necessity for it been recognized. (Funny - this is similar to the struggles some firms now have with social media!) In any event, it was truly a different world then, and Web functionality was in its infancy. What an honor and a blessing it has been to grow our business as the Web itself has grown up!

From 'Me' to 'We'
In the beginning, Atlantic Webworks was a sole proprietorship being run out of my house. It was an exciting time, and I remember (fairly early on) picking up a number of clients in Hawaii - who were our very first out-of-state clients. What a thrill! As the client base grew, and web functionality expanded,  the company grew from a team of one to a core of specialized professionals - programmers, designers, project managers, marketers, and administrative staff.  We have been fortunate to claim some of the most talented, creative, committed, ethical, and just plain FUN professionals in the industry. Our team has grown and shaped the firm with each of their contributions and personalities.  Together, we have weathered two recessions, been awarded both regional and national ethics awards, and have grown the business to include two locations - our headquarters in Greensboro and the recent addition of our Myrtle Beach office in 2012.  As proud as I am of the company, I am most honored to work alongside these great web and marketing professionals who make up Atlantic Webworks.

It's All About Our Clients
Perhaps the most important celebration that comes to mind when I think of our first 16 years is the celebration of our clients. From the very beginning, we have been blessed with clients in a diversity of  industries who are truly a delight to work with. We've had very large, very well-known clients as well as very small start-ups and solopreneurs - all of whom have entrusted us with their websites and online success.  Most all are also long-term clients who have given us the privilege of their business year after year, website after website. Many have turned to us for help as we have expanded our services to include not only web strategy and development, but SEO and Pay Per Click (PPC), branding and graphic design services, email marketing, hosting and social media training and execution services. I speak for the team when I say how very thankful we are for each and every client.
