I have long enjoyed the festivities of the Super Bowl... the socializing aspect, the food, and of course - the commercials. This year, I have tried my best to avoid any of the teasers because I really do want to enjoy them in "real time" - don't ask me why. So I haven't seen the sentimental new Budweiser commercial, nor the hard hitting change that GoDaddy made this year. I did accidentally see the newest Volkswagen commercial and snorted out loud it was so funny, but other than that, I'm steering clear. I haven't even watched the controversial SodaStream ad yet, even though it will ONLY be available online due to the fact that Fox rejected it. Some say they rejected it because it was too "sexy," but I believe it's because they didn't want to rock the boat with Coke and Pepsi down the road.
With companies spending on average four million dollars for a 30-second spot in this weekend's Super Bowl (not to mention production costs), you can guarantee that they will look for any opportunity to get as much exposure as they possibly can and what better place to do this than social media. From putting the ads up early on YouTube and their Facebook pages, these brands are finally embracing the fact that they can get a lot more leverage out of their ad dollars by appealing to the social audiences.
So what are the big ads for this year, and which ones are already out? Here's a great checklist that Marketing Land put together:

This infographic is incredible at laying out the advantage of the "second screen" for advertisers.
Will you be watching the #SuperBowl or will you opt for the other big bowl game (and the one my kids watch), the #PuppyBowl? Which commercial is your favorite if you've already watched them all?
