Atlantic Webworks and Merz Pharmaceuticals Inc. have been awarded 2007 Piedmont Business Ethics Awards. The awards were presented at a lunch on Thursday.

Established in 2000, Piedmont Business Ethics Awards honor businesses that exemplify high standards of ethical behavior in everyday business dealings and in response to specific challenges. The awards are given by the Greensboro Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. An independent panel of judges from academia evaluated all the companies that entered the competition.

In addition to the two winners, the finalists were: Apple Rock Displays, Automotive Fasteners, Beyond Email, Henry Wurst Inc., Jessup Service Co. and Sigcom
