Voice-Search-TrendsOne of the most talked about features in Windows 10 will be something most smart phone and tablet users are already familiar with: voice search capabilities.

More adoption of voice search means more web functionality for users, of course, but it also has implications for businesses, too. That’s because searchers who are speaking search phrases rather than typing them tend to use longer strings, more natural language, and complete-sentence questions.

None of those fits very well into the category of “keywords” that most marketers (and companies) are used to. That means Google is going to have to rely more heavily on its contextual search algorithms, and that websites with more content—and especially lengthy, up-to-date blocks of content—are going to benefit. That is a big shift for many companies.

Voice search is calling, and it’s telling you to keep adding new content and ideas to your business website. Are you listening?
